Hoi An's ancient trading port in 44°C heat. Lanterns and yellow merchant houses line the narrow lanes. But the city's working side is equally visible: street vendors in markets and doorways, produce on motorbikes, people gathering in the shade. The heritage site and the functioning marketplace are the same place.
