The Gaol Ferry Bridge, September. A bright red knitted bear hung from the latticed canopy above the dark Avon. I photographed it in different framings—the full suspension beneath the structure, against dense foliage, close in shadow where the ropes disappeared. Something handmade, swinging between bridge and water.
