Walking through Bath's streets, I was drawn to how the honey-stone architecture layers itself — carved detail, ornamental ironwork, decorative balustrades creating frames within frames. Every element—the statues, the Gothic windows, the period signs against Georgian facades—sits inside another element. The material and ornament do the compositional work.
