Gwydir Forest in spring — mixed woodland of conifers and birch climbing above Betws-y-Coed. Dappled light through dense forest, moss-covered rocks, water flowing. The bare spring branches, the dark corridors of tall conifers, the intimate scale after days of exposed scrambling. A walk that produced one of my favourite woodland images to date.
