The narrow streets of Avignon drew me to texture — weathered facades, Mediterranean light in courtyards, how shuttered windows and old stone hold shadow and detail. I wasn't photographing the Palais des Papes; I was investigating how the medieval city accumulates history through surface. A terracotta statue, blue shutters, decades of patina. That's where the series lives.
