A walk from Malham Cove up into the Yorkshire Dales moorland. The limestone amphitheatre rises above the valley floor, but the walk ranges wider - across moorland with dry stone walls, past ruined cottages and weathered trees, under moody light. The geology and the pastoral landscape sit together: ferns growing in limestone cracks, walls cutting across pasture, the Cove marking the dale's edge.
